Momos which are one of the popular and most loved street foods in North India is incomplete without the signature Momos Chutney recipe – Momos Sauce recipe – Momos chatni – Momos sauce – Spicy tangy Momos Chutney

It is a very spicy and tangy sauce which is specifically meant to be combined with momos and has tomatoes and garlic as the main ingredients. This sauce or chutney has a very prominent flavour of garlic.

I am not a very big fan of momos and this sauce but I have special liking for garlic which is why I usually taste a little of of it whenever I make it or order.

So, I have decided to share the recipe for the sauce as well. Please check the recipe for Vegetable Steamed momos also.

Step wise Momos Chutney recipe

  1. Firstly take some water in a bowl and soak the dried red chillies for 10 minutes.

2. Boil 2 cups of water in a pan and blanch the tomatoes for 5 minutes without removing the peel.

3. Once the tomatoes are cooked keep aside and let them cool.

4. Now, take 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan and sauté chopped garlic until the raw aroma is removed.

5. Now, peel the tomatoes and put all the ingredients in a mixer. Add salt and sugar to taste and blend everything together to make a chutney. Add water if the consistency is thick. Spicy tangy Momos Chutney is ready. Enjoy with the hot momos
