Ingredients

For making sauce
  • 2-3 big sized potatoes
  • 1 Big capsicum (sliced
  • 1 big onion (roughly chopped)
  • 3 teaspoons black pepper powder
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon green chilli sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon chopped ginger & garlic
  • 1 teaspoon chopped green chillies
  • handful spring onion leaves
  • 1 spring onion
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • Water as needed
  • 1 tablespoon corn flour

For Potato wedges
  • 1/2 cup maida
  • 1/4 cup corn flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Recipe Crispy Honey Chilli Potatoes

  1. Take 2-3 medium sized potatoes. Peel and wash thoroughly.
  2. Cut into thin fingers or french fries shape.
  3. Heat 2-3 cups of water and add 1 tablespoon of salt. Bring it to boil
  4. Add cut potato fingers and blanch for 7-8 minutes.
  5. Dry the fingers on a cotton cloth.
  6. Take a mixing bowl. Add 3 tablespoons corn flour, 3 tablespoons maida, 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, 1 teaspoon black pepper and salt to taste.
  7. Add blanched potatoes and coat with the mixture.
  8. In another bowl take 1/2 cup maida, 1/4 cup corn flour, salt, 1 tablespoon oil and 1 teaspoon black pepper powder. Mix together well.
  9. Add water gradually and make thick paste.
  10. Add the coated potatoes in the paste and coat well with the mixture.
  11. Now, drop the potatoes in the medium hot oil. Deep fry until turn light golden brown. Take out from the oil.
  12. In a pan heat oil and add ginger, garlic and chopper green chillies. Cook until the raw smell goes away
  13. Add roughly chopped onion and spring onion rings and sauté until turn translucent.
  14. Add sliced capsicum and cook for a minute at a high flame.
  15. Now add 1 teaspoon spring onion leaves and mix well.
  16. Further Add soy sauce, green chilli sauce, red chilli sauce and tomato ketchup. Mix well.
  17. Now , add salt and black pepper powder and mix. Add 1 tablespoon white sesame seeds and mix well.
  18. Add 2 tbsp honey and mix well. Add water if needed.
  19. Now, double fry the potatoes at a high heat until turn crispy and brown.
  20. Immediately add the fried potatoes in the gravy and mix gently. Do not overcook.
  21. Serve hot and enjoy the delicious tangy, sweet, sour party snacks.
